2025 was warm, dry and perfectly bold. Rocket’s Vineyard took it all in its stride; the old vines dug deep, the berries stayed small and concentrated, and the flavour intensity went through the roof. The wines show freshness, but with a depth and complexity reminiscent of 2023.

We dedicate our Swan Valley vineyard wines to Rob’s late father, former Australian Test cricketer Tony “Rocket” Mann. With a lightning arm, Tony was famous for “rocketing” the ball in from the outfield to hit middle stump. Beyond cricket, Tony loved wine. An old currant vineyard caught his eye and, 33 years ago, he transformed it into a Chenin Blanc oasis with Rob. The fruit is now dry-grown and organically farmed by Rob and Genevieve Mann. In July 2022, we proudly achieved certified-organic status with ACO Certification Ltd.

The grapes were hand-harvested and pressed as whole bunches before natural fermentation. A portion was fermented and matured in seasoned French oak demi-muids for seven months prior to blending and bottling. The wine is all energy and texture – honeydew melon, Pink Lady apple, grapefruit flesh and lemon sabayon wrapped in a waxy, saline frame. There’s a flicker of pressed fennel fronds, a hint of citrus blossom and that unmistakable Rocket’s crystalline clarity we know and love.
