We do not specify bearings for inferior headset ranges. Instead, we start with chrome steel, Black oxide A/C, and finally 440C stainless steel bearings. They are always constructed with the largest possible balls and their double-lip seals are seated in a small recess for ultimate protection against sweat and the elements. They are 90% filled with high-pressure grease, so you don't have to wonder if there's grease inside. STAINLESS: Enduro Bearings produces certain series of bearings made with 440C stainless steel balls. This material offers maximum corrosion resistance in all conditions. Depending on the application, Abec 3 or Abec 5 quality is used. Stainless steel balls have 20% less capacity than the 52100 steel balls used in most of our bearings, but they do offer better corrosion protection. Enduro Bearings uses a CRC marine grease in these bearings as extra protection against contamination.
