Some skin does not want a scent. Not lavender, not vanilla, nothing. Unscented Body Butter is for that skin. The new baby. The pregnancy nose. The person whose flare ups react to almost anything. The grandparent who just wants something soft. It is the quietest formula in our lineup and the one I trust most in our own house.
I am Kay, founder of So Buttery Skin. I made the unscented version of my body butter for my daughter, because during her worst eczema flares she could not tolerate even our gentlest scents. It became our baseline, the one we hand to anyone who has been burned by too many products. Plain in the best possible way.
The base is whipped shea butter, mango butter, avocado oil, and jojoba oil. That is it. We add no essential oils, just the gentle natural shea note. The shea is unrefined, the mango softens the heaviness of pure shea, the avocado feeds dry patches, and the jojoba helps everything absorb quickly without leaving a slick film. Eight ounces, plant based, made in small batches.
Almost nothing. The faintest natural butter smell and then it fades. It is built for babies, pregnancy, fragrance free homes, the most reactive skin, post procedure.
After your shower, while your skin is still a little damp, scoop a small amount and warm it between your palms. Smooth it onto arms, legs, chest, and anywhere that runs dry. A small amount goes a long way. Use within twelve months of opening. Store at room temperature out of direct sun. Once your jar is low, grab a refill pouch to save on every reorder.
Yes. This is the formula I used on my daughter as an infant. It is fragrance free, plant based, and made in small batches in our home kitchen. Always check with your pediatrician for any new product on baby skin.
Try Lavender or Bergamot next. Both are gentle and many customers use Unscented for daily and a scented version for nights or weekends.
Yes. This is one of the safest options in the lineup for active eczema. It is the formula I used on my daughter during her worst flares. For more severe medically managed eczema, also see the Eczema Relief Body Butter with its targeted ingredient blend.
With daily full body use, about six to eight weeks. With targeted spot use on hands, elbows, and dry patches, much longer.
Yes, especially in winter or post procedure when your face is dry and reactive. Use a smaller amount on the face and let it absorb fully. For everyday face care, see the Face Collection.
Yes. With no essential oils and no synthetic fragrance, this is the safest option in the lineup for pregnancy, the postpartum window, and breastfeeding.
