Montale is a Barbera of character and personality. The 2020 vintage, warm and dry, contributed to the creation of a wine of generous alcohol content, properly integrated thanks to the acid backbone which characterises this grape variety. The ageing in wooden barrels enhances the structure and the development of a rich bouquet. From an organoleptic point of view, we are in the realm of ripe fruit, where boozy sour cherry is the master and some herbaceous touches complete the picture. A great companion for rainy autumn afternoons.
