The Omega Ploprof (short for Plongeur Professionnel, meaning “professional diver”) was developed in the late 1960s and launched in 1970 as one of the most robust dive watches ever made. Designed with input from legendary oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, it was purpose-built for saturation divers working at extreme depths. Its monobloc case, patented bezel-locking system, and extraordinary resistance to helium set it apart. Today, the Ploprof is celebrated as an icon of hardcore tool-watch engineering.

The matte black dial is beautifully preserved, with bold tritium indices and that unmistakable chunky handset—complete with broad arrow minute hand—now ageing to an attractive warm tone. The rotating bezel remains clear and legible, adding real tool-watch presence to the already striking asymmetrical case.
