Sandstone Sunrise – Handmade Batik Hoodie

Misty, moody, and hand-painted with inspiration. This batik hoodie is dyed in a layered blend of blue-gray undertones and stonewashed ecru, evoking beach cliffs, coastal fog, and weathered river rocks. The design features a large celestial moon and stars motif on the back, hand-painted using traditional batik waxing techniques and cured in small batches in my Oregon studio.

This version is made in a women’s fit — slightly shorter than my unisex cut, with a soft shape that layers beautifully over yoga pants or denim. The heavyweight cotton fleece has a smooth outer knit and a soft, cozy inside — easy to wear and made to last.

These hoodies are built to last. Each piece is boiled to remove the beeswax used in the batik process, making them fully machine washable and resilient.

Wash with like colors using any temperature — cold, warm, or hot.
Tumble dry recommended. The heavyweight cotton fleece is thick and takes time to air dry.
