The DJI Matrice 4T is a compact, intelligent multi-sensor enterprise drone built for thermal inspection, public safety, emergency response, and critical infrastructure operations. It integrates five sensor modules into a folding 1,219 g airframe: a wide-angle camera optimised for low-light and night vision, a 48 MP medium tele camera, a 48 MP telephoto camera, a 640×512 infrared thermal camera with High-Res mode, and an NIR auxiliary light with 100 m illumination range. With built-in RTK, O4 Enterprise transmission reaching 25 km, up to 49 minutes of flight time, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing, the Matrice 4T is one of the most capable compact thermal drones available today.

The Matrice 4T is optimised for thermal inspection, public safety, emergency response, and night operations. It features a 640×512 infrared thermal camera, NIR auxiliary light, and a wide-angle camera with f/1.7 aperture and enhanced Night Scene modes. The Matrice 4E is designed for precision mapping and surveying, replacing the thermal camera and NIR light with a 4/3-inch mechanical shutter wide-angle camera that outputs DNG RAW files. Both models share the same airframe, battery, medium tele camera, telephoto camera, and laser range finder.
The Matrice 4T features a 640×512 infrared thermal camera with an uncooled VOx microbolometer, f/1.0 aperture, and 53 mm equivalent focal length. It supports three gain modes — High Gain for precise temperature measurement, Low Gain for wider temperature range detection, and High-Res mode for detecting small temperature differences between objects, which is particularly useful for security, SAR, and wildlife operations.
Yes — the M4T is specifically designed for round-the-clock operations. The wide-angle and tele cameras support full-colour Night Scene mode with three sub-modes and enhanced noise reduction. The NIR auxiliary light illuminates subjects up to 100 m away in complete darkness. The thermal camera operates entirely independently of visible light, making it effective in any lighting condition.
The Matrice 4T is controlled by the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise, which uses O4 Enterprise video transmission for up to 25 km range (FCC). It supports terrain elevation map preloading for automated obstacle avoidance path planning and runs DJI Pilot 2 for mission execution, fleet management, and real-time data sharing via FlightHub 2.
Yes. The Matrice 4T includes an E-Port interface supporting PSDK-compatible third-party accessories and payloads up to 200 g. An E-Port Lite interface is also included for USB connection to DJI tuning software and select PSDK devices. Accessories must be installed before powering on the aircraft.
