Augers are available in 2 different tooth and pilot styles:

Multi Facet Tungsten (MFT): suitable for hard ground conditions including clay
Earth/Rock Combo (RC): suitable for harder ground conditions including fracturable rock, asphalt and concrete.
Earth (E): suitable for soft ground and sand.
Tungsten Carbide (TC): suitable for soft ground and sand with better wear properties than Earth.
