The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 mandate that employers provide sufficient equipment, facilities, and trained personnel to ensure immediate medical attention for employees who are injured or ill at work. These regulations apply to all workplaces, including those with fewer than five employees and the self-employed. This course ensures that first-aiders are well-informed, qualified, and confident in their skills, meeting these regulatory requirements. The course will be delivered in English. Delegates must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Delegates will be evaluated via continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a First Aid at Work qualification valid for 3 years. It is recommended that the re-qualification course be taken every 3 years to ensure that all first-aiders are kept up to date with current practices.
