The zeolite used in the molecular sieve bed has the ability to preferentially adsorb nitrogen molecules while allowing oxygen molecules to pass through more easily.

Here’s how the molecular sieve bed works in a Portable Oxygen Concentrator:

• Air intake: The POC draws in ambient air from the surroundings using a compressor or another mechanism.
• Filtration: The air goes through a series of filters to remove dust, pollutants, and other impurities.
• Compression: The filtered air is compressed to increase its pressure.
