Applications: IHC
Background: Ca2+/calmodulin dependent protein kinase type IV (CAMKIV) belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family, and to the Ca (2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily. This enzyme is a multifunctional serine/threonine protein kinase with limited tissue distribution, that has been implicated in transcriptional regulation in lymphocytes, neurons and male germ cells.
Product: Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Specificity: p-CaMKIV (T196/200) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of human CaMKIV protein only when phosphorylated at Thr200. This antibody also detects mouse and rat CaMKIV protein when phosphorylated at the corresponding sites (Thr196).
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of p-CaMKIV (T196/200) pAb in paraffin-embedded human brain tissue.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 60 kDa
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Alternative Name: Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type IV; CaMK IV; CaM kinase-GR; CAMK4; CAMK; CAMK-GR; CAMKIV
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human CaMKIV around the phosphorylation site of Threonine 200.
