“‘Pretty Lonesome’ started so authentic and slowly became something that intimidated me—and I think people could see that. I revoked some of my authenticity because I became intimidated by the amount of people tuning in and how much my life had changed in general. I lost my bearings and didn’t want to put myself out there as much anymore. I wasn’t a happy version of myself. But I’ve changed and figured some things out, so for season two I wanted to pull myself back into it. It was either stop doing it altogether or really DO it. I needed to get out of the middle space.”
