This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug with tribal style features a
central amulet with a Turkish gul on a sky-blue field dotted with stars, arrows
and Caucasian style tribal symbols. The large amulet is surrounded by tribal
motifs represents protection from evil. The main border is composed of amulets
with contrasting cruciform motifs and flanked by two thin guard bands with a
"running dog" border. This striking, unique Turkish Oushak rug is
versatile and will lend an ambiance of nomadic tribal villages to nearly any
