DESCRIPTION:

Karel Bruckner’s super talented Czech Republic were expected to romp to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany following their stellar showing at Euro 2004, however, the play-off’s would be required before sealing their place at the tournament finals. A match-day 1 victory over the United States would be the highlight as they were knocked out at the group stage. Pavel Nedved would announce his retirement from the national set up later that year, however they’d quickly rediscover their mojo and reached the finals of Euro 2008 at the first time of asking; ousting Germany 3-0 in Germany en route to topping the qualifying group. The home shirt would make its debut in the 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia on May 26^th 2006, and be seen for the final time in the aforementioned victory over Germany in Munich. This edition of the shirt is from the World Cup in Germany as the Germany 2006 embroidery denotes, moreover, this shirt features the brilliant implementation of the lion of the Czech coat of arms as part of the main design of the shirt.
