Made in the U.S.A. in 1948, this was the last of the Vacumatics, although Canadian production carried on for a while afterwards.

The Debutante was made in two sizes, this is the largeer one, the smaller pen is known as the 'Sub debutante'.  This pen measures 11.2 cm. capped and 13.2 cm. posted.

The pen has been restored and is in excellent working condition.  It has good colour and a bright surface with a worn, but legible barrel imprint with the date code '8.' for the last quarter 0f 1948, just as production ceased.

The Parker 'Blue Diamond' on the clip was banned in the same year, this pen has the re-designed 'split arrow' clip. 

The Duofold nib may be a replacement but Parker were using these nibs for repairs at that time and may have fitted them to the last of the Vacumatics.  It is a superb writer, it is rare to finr a fine nib with this amount of smoothness, a pleasure to use.  It is ideally suited to someone with a small 'hand' or for more detailed work. The vacumatic filling system has been overhauled and works well.

The late Vacumatic Debutante is one of the less common Vacumatics and is highly collectable.
