Helpful Usage Notes:

The opening of the fermenter must be at least 1.13in (28.6mm) for the wine thief to fit inside
Thoroughly sanitize the wine thief before taking a sample to avoid contamination
Thoroughly sanitize the hydrometer if used and if the sample is to be added back to the fermenting liquid
Do not apply excessive force on the pin-valve
The pin-valve is a free-floating gravity valve and can drip occasionally. Take liquid samples over a bucket or sink to minimize clean-up
Only use the wine thief with beer- and wine-strength alcoholic liquids up to 25% alcohol. Do not use the wine thief with high concentrations of alcohol including isopropyl alcohol.
