About the Model
History
The 10.5 cm leFH 18 (leichte Feldhaubitze 18) was Germany’s standard light field howitzer in World War II, introduced in 1935. It fired 105mm high-explosive shells with a range of up to 10.6 km (6.6 miles) and was used for indirect fire support. Built with a split-trail carriage and hydro-pneumatic recoil system, it was durable and accurate. Although initially towed by horses, it was later pulled by trucks or half-tracks for better mobility. The leFH 18 was a crucial part of German artillery, providing vital fire support on all major fronts.
