One of our biggest selling women's Gore-tex jackets, the Makalu from Mountain Equipment is hard wearing, yet light, comfortable and flexible at the same time.

Made using new Gore-tex with ePE membrane and an FC free DWR treatment, the Makalu is 100% waterproof and windproof. It has a Hydrostatic head rating of a whopping 28'000mm. You can use it in the summer over the top of a wicking Tee, or in the winter in the mountains on top of layers. 

Designed to take the worst of weathers the Makalu is a true mountain jacket, with articulated arms that move when you do - even when stretching up and as you'd expect on an alpine jacket it has a fully adjustable hood that is also helmet compatible with a decent wire peak to aid vision. 

Ideal for alpine use, trekking, hiking or wet windy commutes to work.
