Ron del Barrilito 2 Stars is aged 3-5 years in white oak barrels that were previously used for Oloroso sherry in Jerez, Spain. A team of Spanish coopers visits us twice a year to keep them in top working shape. We use the ancient process of maceration, in which a small portion of the rum is infused with a blend of natural dried fruits and spices prior to aging, in order to impart our characteristic flavor profile and aroma. We use no added sugars, artificial flavorings, or caramel coloring. The deep amber color of our rums happens naturally through the undisturbed aging process. The only water we use is sustainably harvested from rainfall. Each bottle is still labeled and packed by hand.
