Aberlour uses a unique ageing process for its double cask offerings. They are not Sherry-finished. Instead, the whiskey is fully aged in ether sherry casks or traditional oak casks. After being aged, the two are married to create a truly inspiring whisky. The 18 year old being the oldest, brings with it the fullest flavour of the family. Rich and dark with heavy notes of dried fruit and wood, it also offers dark chocolate, root beer and cinnamon tones that have to be experienced to be appreciated truly.
