In this work, Auguste Blackman takes us to the ocean floor to bump fins with crabs, turtles and puffer fish. We meander through a psychedelic seascape, a cornucopia of visual delights to gaze upon – blushes of blue, swirls of seaweed and speckled plankton.

Blackman’s work is informed by a childhood spent among Australia’s most renowned and lively modernists. Whether reflecting on this experience or demonstrating a born passion for painting, he remains a dynamic and playful voice in Australian art.
