Annie Sloan Clear Wax is used to seal and protect the Chalk Paint, as well as making the paint water resistant.

If you are purchasing a 1 litre tin of paint, we recommend a 500ml wax. If you are purchasing a mini 120ml tin of paint, you could go for the 120ml clear wax unless you have other painting projects that require clear wax sealing.

The wax comes in 4 different colours:

• Clear Wax - used to seal the Chalk Paint for a matt finish, and also used before and after the coloured waxes.
• White Wax - helps to create a washed finish/look. Always apply clear wax after the white.
• Dark Wax - helps to create an aged look. Always apply clear wax before & after the dark wax to seal & protect it.
• Black Wax - gives a rich modern finish/look. Always apply clear wax before & after the dark wax to seal & protect it.

Please note when using dark or black wax, ALWAYS CLEAR WAX your piece of furniture before you put on your dark/black wax, and then you can use the clear wax to seal and lift the coloured waxes.
