This is a sweet vintage take on a beloved antique style, the toi et moi ring. French for you and me, the toi et moi is distinguished by a pair of stones - occasionally the same kind, often a mix of diamond and something else - one each representing your love and yourself. The style shot to popularity in the late 18th century, most famously when a diamond and sapphire version was presented by the future Emperor of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, to his beloved Josephine.

This 1980s version centres on stunning marquise cut stones (another favourite that originated in France when, c. 1745, King Louis XV requested a diamond in the shape of his mistress' smile), flanked on either side by sparkling diamonds. Striking, playful, and completely glamorous, this ring would make a dreamy alternative engagement ring, anniversary gift, or commitment to yourself.

Good vintage condition with wear in line with age and use, including evidence of past sizing.
