How Does It Work in Practice?

Activating and using the license is done through a digital process.

1. Place order: During the ordering process, enter the 12-digit serial number of your Topdon diagnostic device in the designated field.
2. Digital activation: After ordering, the license is digitally linked to the provided serial number. This process usually takes about 7 business days. No physical code or product is shipped.
3. Update software: Ensure your Topdon device software is fully updated. The license will be automatically activated after the update.
4. Perform diagnostics: Connect the diagnostic device to a compatible FCA vehicle. The software will automatically detect the presence of the SGW and, with an active internet connection, start the authorization process to gain access.
