At the core of DragonFly Copper is a highly efficient 32-bit ESS Sabre ES9218 DAC/headphone amp chip. AudioQuest designer Gordon Rankin optimized every aspect of the implementation, reducing distortion to levels significantly below previous DragonFly models while delivering 2x the output power (2.1V) and drawing 25% less current than any previous DragonFly.
