"Shout out to Revgear for this thing, the guardian chest protector is perfect for light sparring. It's even better for mitt work. It's lightweight but it still protects the body enough for punches at about 70%. We haven't tested any kicks out on it just yet but I'm sure it could absorb a kick at about 50. Now to say that, it's good when dealing with small children if you just wanting to teach them or in self-defense classes where you're teaching people without a martial arts background. But again it's great for light sparring and mitt work. They are heavier chest protectors for more vigorous activities but this one is great for the light stuff."
