Dreams come alive at night and lucid hopes dance more freely.  Reality is stretched.  It’s talking, bouncing stars and faces on the moon.  It’s a girl dancing.  If that’s all it needs to be, I’m ok with that.

As I was sitting in front of this night sky and the salmon colored dress, it became like a call for joy in the darkness.  Like in spite of the midnight blue.  “Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” 

I paint and I wait.  I sit some more.  There’s another epiphany, the missing piece.  It needs a final touch.  The Spirit moves and suddenly appear bandages on her hands, healing wounds and burial clothes.  In a few brushstrokes, it’s now life and death. “Lazarus come out!”  Leaping out of a dark tomb.

It’s stars and dreams and a face on the moon.  It’s a girl dancing.  And if that’s all it needs to be, I’m ok with that too.
