It has a purple amethyst glass top. This top has a small chip on the side corner as photographed. Other than that, It is in great condition and would be a nice addition to a collection. I am pretty sure it is sterling silver but I do not see a hallmark or makers mark on it. I think it is a size 9 thimble.
