Cherie Winter’s ‘BLIND’ is an elegant, impactful work. Against a black backdrop hang blinds, a tree pushing through. Despite the abstract composition, Winter’s work is still evocative — reticent of spring days or a dream.

Winter is a celebrated artist. She is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Australian Print Workshop, as well as several university and municipal galleries.

For collectors of contemporary prints, ‘BLIND’ is a beautiful find. It comes from Rona Green’s curation of fifty prints, exhibited at Geelong Gallery.
