Ceramics jars are historically and culturally a staple in the Italian kitchen. These beauties are close to Giulio, our artisan's heart, as they were one of the first shapes he learned to 'throw' on the wheel. The lid is a flanged lid which means it fits perfectly into the mouth of the jar. Watching Giulio make them is truly amazing… he works intuitively without the need for precise measurements as he relies on his well-trained hands to do the work. The lid falls tightly down into the lip of the jar, and no jar is ever alike.  All products are 100% lead free and approved for alimentary use.
