The Parker Lady Duofold was introduced in 1921 as a smaller 'ring top' version of the Senior and Junior pens.  Originally made in hard rubber, by 1926 the whole Duofold range had moved to a new plastic material which parker named 'Permanite.  The triple cap ring was added in 1928 and by 1929 the design was changed form a 'flat top. this pen, to a more streamlined shape.  This pen also has a small 'notch' in the feed, only found on 1928 pens.

The pen was made in Toronto, Canada, at the time the majority of Canadian made Parkers were produced for export to the U.K.  The nib is clearly stamped 'Canada' and the just legible barrel imprint also stated that the pen was made in Toronto.

The pen has been fully restored and is in excellent working condition. The button filler system works well, taking up a good volume of ink in a single operation.  By the mid twenties the nibs were not imprinted 'lucky curve' but the banner appeared on the barrel imprint and the 'spear' feed was retained.  The new ink sac is the only non original part of the pen.

The original 14 Ct. Gold nib is a pleasure to use. it produces a smooth, fine to medium line with a pleasing 'soft' feel and enough flex to add character to the lettering.

The 'flat top' Duofolds are high quality pens that set the standard for pen production on a global scale, they are highly collectable.
