An utterly fabulous oversized antique Victorian Nephrite Jade Anchor Brooch & Pendant…

Crafted from rich 9ct yellow gold, this gorgeous Anchor is constructed with a shank of juicy green Nephrite Jade while the head and arms are accentuated with expertly hand engraved yellow gold details featuring flower and ivy leaf designs. Finished with a twisted wire rope wrapping around the shank from top to bottom giving it just the right touch of visual movement and color contrast against the sea green Jade. 

The top ring is perfect for clipping a dog clasp or bolt ring, slipping a simple chain through or connecting a chain to the brooch pin on the back to wear as a pendant. Of course it can also be worn traditionally as a brooch with the brooch pin and c-clasp on the backside. 

It’s quite substantial in size measuring 30mm x 65mm and weighs a total of 7.6 grams. Tested and hallmarked on the back with “9ct” to ensure gold content. The pin stem is made from silver but looks to be original to the piece and not a replacement. The overall condition is fantastic with no chips or cracks to the Jade and only a few slight scratches on the gold portions that are hidden by all the stunning engraved designs.
