'Naiya'

This crazy big bear is 'Naiya'. She is Very large, Very heavy and VERY colourful!! We've made Naiya using a mix of long pile mohair ranging in pile length from 40mm to 70mm (one of the longest piles available) that we have hand-dyed in a variety of soft, dusky rainbow colours with the predominant colours being purples, mauves, lemons, aquas, peaches and pinks. 

Naiya looks out through a pair of large black glass eyes with ultra-suede whites. She has a hand embroidered ocean blue perle cotton nose and some subtle inktense rouge on her rounded alpaca cheeks. Naiya is fully T-pin jointed (securely, but not overly firm), and is well stuffed and quite heavily weighted but still has a gorgeous cuddly 'squish' to her hug. The combination of her surprising weight, and her slightly looser joints gives her a subtle rag-doll feel to her hug. You will need to use both arms to pick her up, and she can snuggle in on your hip for a cuddle. 

Naiya has berry-tone hand-dyed mohair paw pads with hand-pulled and detailed toes. She wears an ivory stretch lace shawl held with a gold-tone and sapphire-like faux crystal brooch (this is fully removable). It can be hard to tell size from photos, so we also took an image of Naiya in my 7yr old daughter's arms - she is a BIG bear!

Naiya is a one of a kind artist bear as made by Emma's Bears. 

~*~ Please Note that these bears are designed to be Adult Collectables and not intended for infants and young children due to small parts (eyes) and potential for damage (excessive limb twisting/ busted seams etc) – however child safe versions can be custom made and I would think that the bears would be fine with sensible, gentle children (yes – I am sure they exist!)
