The emulator generates and sends a specific digital signal via the CAN bus to the ECU, replicating the authorization code of the original IMMO module. This is a solution when original components are defective. Compatibility includes the following engine control units:
  • Ford: ECUs with CAN communication, including Siemens SIM22, SIM210, Visteon ESU-131 / ESU-411 / ESU-418, and Bosch EDC16C34.
  • Mazda: ECUs with CAN communication, including various Denso and Bosch types used in models such as the Mazda 3, 5, and 6.
• Testing the engine control unit (ECU): The emulator can be used to check an ECU on the test bench. By simulating the IMMO signal, the functionality of the ECU can be verified without all original vehicle components needing to be present.

2. Ford with immo module in BCU

In some Ford vehicles, the immobilizer is located in the BCU (Body Control Unit). In this case, the emulator can only be used for project vehicles, such as engine conversion in a race car or boat.
