Fresh - Peach - Citrus - Rounded

Chateau Barouillet is a 40-hectare estate, fully organic since 2013. The 8th generation to work at the estate, Vincent Alexis joined his father in 2010 and talked him into bottling their own wines instead of selling them for bulk blending. Soils are clay on limestone with iron and flint in the Pecharmant vineyards.

Vincent says: "Bergecrac Blanc is a blend of locally grown grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Chenin, Semillon. All of them add something different: Sauvignon Blanc is aromatic, Sauvignon Gris adds the texture, Chenin adds the freshness that makes you want the second glass and Semillon is just great juice. What I was trying to achieve with this wine is having something quite round and opulent, and I think that with this vintage we've now found the right balance."
