Rare and unusual early 20th century Chinese tea box made of paper and glass. It’s a miracle to me that such a fragile thing survived in such good condition! Best of all, it still retains some of its original contents: Looks like hand assembled bundles of Longxu oolong tea. Hard to tell- it’s long since lost any scent. The inside of the box is trimmed with vivid red, fringed paper while the bottom is wrapped with colorful fabric. Google was able to make out Hong Kong from the label on the side. The box is in outstanding condition with minimal wear. Dates to around the 1920s-1930s.
