Bayberry wax, otherwise referred to as myrtle wax, is obtained from the boiled fruit of the Myrica cerifera plant. The yielded material is a waxy substance commonly utilized in candle making, soap bars, salves, and creams. This natural wax carries a light brown to olive green appearance and characteristic earthy aroma with a melting point around 40 – 55°C / 104 – 131°F.
A vegan substitute for beeswax.
