What exactly is the PS1?

Does the PS1 work with pens other than the EP1?
It’s designed and matched to the EP1 dimensions. Other pens of similar diameter (10mm) may also sit in it, but Refyne built it specifically for their pens.

Can I buy the PS1 separately?
Yes. The PS1 is available as a standalone product. The bundle just saves you selecting them separately and ensures matching materials.

Why is the base copper?
Weight and contrast. The heavier copper base anchors the stand and prevents tipping. It also develops a natural patina over time, matching copper or brass EP1 finishes.
