Classic Japanese Matcha Tea Preparation:

• Place approximately ½–1 tsp of matcha into a small hand sifter over a teacup or bowl
• Sift into the cup or bowl to avoid clumping (optional, but recommended)
• Add 2–3 oz (about ⅓ cup) of pre-boiled water (~180°F / 80°C)
• Using a bamboo whisk (or alternative), whisk briskly in an "M" or "W" motion to create a frothy top
• Gently whisk the surface to remove large air bubbles
• Add up to 6 oz of hot water to taste (optional)
• For a matcha latte, add milk or plant-based milk of choice
