While we don't often source newly made rings with antique stones around here, the look and story behind this piece were simply too beautiful to pass up! The antique cut pear in this ring - a stunner in its own right, beautifully proportioned and faceted and with a prominent culet that feels like a portal you could drop through - was plucked, along with her sisters, from a dilapidated Victorian tiara. Typically we favor restoration or jewels over repurposing and redesigning (call us purists), but even we can admit that there's not much of a market these days for tiaras and frankly it feels good to redistribute some diamonds away from those who would be wearing tiaras (call us jewelry communists). Set in a rather newly made, custom ring with clean lines, modern minimalism, and just a subtle nod to antique design with that milgrain detail on the bezel, the antique diamond is now the star of its own show in a wearable work of art.

Very good near-new condition for the ring mount and good antique condition for the diamond, with some abrasions to facet junctures consistent with age and use. This ring includes a third-party appraisal.
