The Panasonic CY-122A-P Photoelectric Sensor (Part No. YCY122AP) is a high-sensitivity sensor from the CY100 series, using a diffuse reflective sensing method for detecting objects up to 60cm (23.6") away. With a 1ms response time and an infrared light source, it delivers quick and consistent detection, making it suitable for various industrial automation tasks. Its adjustable sensitivity allows for optimal performance across different object types and surface finishes.

Designed to endure harsh conditions, the CY-122A-P is protected by an IP67-rated enclosure and operates across a wide temperature range of -25°C to 55°C. It features a PNP open collector output, a 2-meter cable connection, and a 12V to 24V DC supply range, offering flexible integration into existing control systems. Although this model is now obsolete, it remains a dependable option for replacements in legacy automation setups.
