Lovely handmade silver Indian tribal earrings, known as vedhla, from Gujarat, worn by Kutch women on the top part of the ear lobe.
Domed discs form the top part. The long ear wires are soldered to them on one end. The other end continues downward to end with a small soldered-on cuboid bead. The stem is wrapped with silver wire.
Unmarked but tested positive for high-grade silver. The ear wires are slightly larger than the ones used in modern times. The earrings are in good vintage condition. There are similar examples in the V&A Museum's collection (IS.1446:1 to 8-2019).
