The DJI TB30 is the intelligent flight battery for the DJI Matrice 30 Series, including the Matrice 30 (M30) and the Matrice 30T (M30T). It is a 5880 mAh, 26.1 V Li-ion 6S pack rated at 131.6 Wh that the M30 / M30T uses as a hot-swappable pair to deliver up to 41 minutes of flight time, an aircraft operating range of –20 °C to 50 °C, and the cold-weather self-heating function the airframe needs for sub-freezing operations.
Intelligent flight battery for the DJI Matrice 30 and Matrice 30T. 131.6 Wh, hot-swappable, used in pairs, with self-heating for cold-weather flight.

Please note: The Matrice 30 Series uses TB30 batteries in pairs. A single TB30 will not power the aircraft on its own; both bays must be populated with paired, balanced packs before flight. This listing is a single battery, sold for use as a spare, replacement, or as half of a pair being built up. The DJI BS30 Intelligent Battery Station is sold separately.
Travel and shipping: At 131.6 Wh, the TB30 falls in the 100 to 160 Wh range that the FAA, IATA, and most major airlines allow as spare lithium batteries in passenger carry-on with airline approval, typically limited to two spare packs per passenger. Spare lithium batteries are not permitted in checked baggage. Confirm your airline's lithium battery policy before traveling, carry packs in their original packaging or with terminals taped to prevent short-circuit, and bring DJI's documentation in case ground staff request it.
The TB30 is the factory flight battery for the DJI Matrice 30 Series, covering both the standard Matrice 30 (M30) and the thermal Matrice 30T (M30T). It is not compatible with the Matrice 4 Series, Matrice 4D Series, Matrice 300 RTK, Matrice 350 RTK, or Matrice 400 Series; those aircraft use different flight batteries.
Two. The M30 and M30T fly on a balanced pair of TB30 packs installed in the aircraft's two battery bays at the same time. A single TB30 will not power either airframe on its own. Plan your inventory in pairs and replace pairs together so the cycle counts stay matched.
Yes. The M30 Series supports hot-swapping one battery while the other pack continues to power the aircraft, so the airframe stays in a powered state between flights and avoids the IMU and RTK reinitialization delays of a full power cycle. Refer to the M30 user manual for the hot-swap sequence.
Up to 41 minutes of flight time and 36 minutes of hover on the Matrice 30 Series, per DJI's published lab data with no payload. Real-world flight time varies with wind, temperature, gimbal payload, and flight profile.
On the DJI BS30 Intelligent Battery Station, approximately 30 minutes to charge a pair from 20% to 90%, or approximately 50 minutes to charge a pair from 0% to 100%. The BS30 also charges WB37 controller batteries on the same station.
The TB30 has a built-in self-heating function that automatically engages when the ambient temperature drops below 10 °C (50 °F). The battery warms itself to a usable temperature before discharge or charge begins. The operating range is –20 °C to 50 °C (–4 °F to 122 °F). Charging at low temperatures may shorten battery life, so when conditions allow, charge indoors and let packs reach the recommended range before connecting them to the station.
At 131.6 Wh, the TB30 sits in the 100 to 160 Wh range that the FAA, IATA, and most major airlines treat as a special-handling category. Spare lithium batteries in this range are typically allowed in carry-on with prior airline approval, limited to two spare packs per passenger. They are not permitted in checked baggage. Confirm your specific airline's policy before you travel, carry packs with terminals protected against short-circuit, and bring DJI's documentation in case ground staff ask for it.
DJI rates the TB30 at 400 charge cycles under normal use. Service life also depends on storage state: keeping packs at full charge for extended periods accelerates degradation. Rotate packs through partial-charge storage between deployments and follow DJI's recommended storage range of 20 °C to 30 °C (68 °F to 86 °F) to maximize useful life.
For short periods between flights, store at room temperature out of direct sunlight. For longer storage (more than 10 days), discharge each pack to approximately 40 to 65% and keep it in the recommended storage range of 20 °C to 30 °C (68 °F to 86 °F). The intelligent battery firmware will self-discharge a stored pack toward a safe storage level after a configurable interval; refer to the M30 user manual to configure that interval for your operation.
