We work with linen all the time for shirts and suits -- but typically in the spring and summer. Linen is known for its breathability, hence its popularity in the warmer months. But aside from this, its also known for its wonderfully irregular texture and endless character. That's why we were excited and surprised to see one of our favorite fabric mills offering a linen cloth re-engineered for the fall season. Taking those full-of-character linen fibers, they've woven a denser, heavier linen cloth, and given it a brushed flannel finish. The fuzzy brushed texture on top of this knubby linen cloth yields a terrific flannel.
