Inspired by the food and bar scene in its hometown of Melbourne, Starward Distillery produces single malts that focus on the enjoyment experience: unconventional, accessible, progressive - and matured in Australia's finest (strong) wine barrels. The urban distillers have long since perfected their award-winning and cult favorite recipes. With special bottlings they live out their creativity and rewrite the rules of whiskey production.

Best example: Starward Stout Cask. The limited release combines the best of craft brewery and distillery. To do this, Starward let the whiskey matured in the characteristic red wine barrels mature for a further 18 months in stout barrels that previously contained a favorite beer from the Brick Lane brewery in Melbourne. Their award-winning stouts are characterized by strong aromas, which the single malt makes full use of. The result is a whiskey that is unlike anything Starward has ever made before - and tastes of cocoa, stone fruit, roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla.
