Up for sale is a 1966 Kingston Short Scale Electric Bass in the classic Red Burst finish. Made in Japan during the golden age of Teisco-era instruments, this vintage bass delivers unmistakable 1960s character, lightweight comfort, and retro styling that stands out on stage and in the studio. This one came in with some honest wear for it's age, it has light dings and scratches thoughout on the body and head stock. Cool vintage appeal and great tone. Comes with a chipboard case that is probably original to the bass but in fair condition.
With its short-scale design, this bass is incredibly comfortable to play while producing the warm, punchy low-end response that made these Japanese-made instruments favorites among garage rock, surf, indie, and lo-fi players. Vintage Kingston basses have become increasingly collectible thanks to their unique aesthetics, quirky charm, and authentic mid-century tone.
