This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner features five amulet medallions filled with roundels and floral sprays floating on an abrashed ecru field dotted with complementary floral sprays. The abrashed golden ecru field with its fluidly spaced medallions and motifs serves an interesting aesthetic function, contrasting delicately with the coloration and ornate detail work. The border is composed of a repeating geometric motif inspired from the Kotchanak motif symbolizing woman with child.
