Hand carved ancient woolly mammoth salmon. For centuries, the humble salmon stood as a symbol of wisdom, and was considered sacred by Celts, Picts, Druids and various other cultures. Measures 25mm in diameter.

The salmon has an extraordinary ability to survive in two realms, fresh water and sea water. Swimming against the stream, no matter what the obstacle, the salmon always makes its way back to its birthplace. It will then lay its eggs and die. The decaying body will then feed the young when they hatch, allowing them to be strong to make their way to the ocean, and so the cycle continues. 

Wisdom, determination, and rebirth are just some of the attributes associated with the animal spirit of salmon.
