An exquisite Dutch rose cut diamond bracelet dating to the mid-twentieth century. The Netherlands produced expertly crafted Georgian era inspired jewellery right up until the 1950’s - and this bracelet is a fine example of this unique trend.

The articulated bracelet is set with three floral clusters of dazzlingly bright white rose cut diamonds set in closed-back and crimpled collet silver mountings, following closely traditional Georgian gemstone setting techniques. The diamonds are also foil-backed, an early method of gem setting which adds brilliance and the illusion of greater depth. The triangular facets of rose cut diamonds were preferred in the Georgian era as they allowed the stones to glisten more beautifully in candlelight. Each side of the central diamond clusters is a bracelet link of a flower-stem shape, set with diamond chips to the leaves. This beautifully transitions to the rest of the bracelet with beaded figure-of-eight shaped links, each one also set with a small diamond to the centre.

The bracelet is crafted in solid 14K yellow gold throughout, with the exterior topped in a thin layer of silver which has been oxidised to darken the colour of the metal and mimic the appearance of 18th century diamond settings. The bracelet is completed with a spring bolt clasp and a safety chain attached for added peace of mind and security when worn.

The bracelet measures 19.55cm in length and weighs a total of 15 grams. The clasp carries two Dutch hallmarks, one for 14K gold, and the other for .835 continental silver.

The infinity shaped links measure 1cm x 0.4cm, the central cluster has a diameter of 11cm and the smaller clusters are 9mm across.

The photos don’t do the diamonds justice, they have a fantastic brightness and sparkle from all angles due to the quality of the diamonds themselves, as well as the pristine condition of the silver foiling behind the stones. This gorgeous bracelet sparkles across the wrist and glitters with approximately 2 carats of rose cut diamonds.
