Fiber rich Lucerne has a positive effect on the digestive system.

Bunnies suffering from digestive problems such as diarrhea, blockages, bloat and just being off colour can really benefit from eating Lucerne.  

Due to the high calcium content, Lucerne is recommended only in small amounts in adult rabbits and rodents.

Remember that grass hay should make up a major portion of a rabbits diet

Lucerne should be fed as a treat mixed in with a variety of different grass hays.

Not suitable for rabbits that have been diagnosed with problems due to excess calcium such as bladder sludge.
